TRAGSA (CLM) and the University of Zaragoza (GESTAR) have collaborated to review the design and technical operation of the new irrigation project in the Cogolludo Irrigation Zone (Guadalajara).
Work on the project was interrupted in 2011, and in order to resume, it requires review, updating, and improvement.
The objective of this study was to analyze, using the computer simulation tools contained in the pressurized irrigation network design and management package GESTAR 2016, the operational behavior and hydraulic performance of the constructed irrigation networks, identify the malfunctions and operational limits they incur, and formulate proposals to improve service while maintaining as much of the currently installed infrastructure as possible
